When we belong to you God, we need not fear death because we know that death is the only doorway to eternal life (Hebrew 2:15)

Alonzo "Poochie" Beasley was born Tuesday, July 19, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky to William Beasley and Eva Cairo Beasley.

Educated in the Jefferson County Public School System, Alonzo attended Newburg Elementary and Middle School and graduated from Fern Creek High School.

Alonzo began working as a construction worker, then employed as a GE factory worker and retired from Anson Stamping Company. He was a hard worker and provider for his family.

His Christian journey was a true faith walk, allowing him to share the love of Christ with so many. Although he experienced the death of two wives, Sanda J. Gerton (1997) and LaVern Bond (2020), he was blessed to be a father to LaToya Fowler (Herman), Alfonzo Weathers (Diedre), Alona Beasley, and Keiana Beasley Cook (Joaquin), stepfather to Wanda Harris, Andre Harris and Albert Harris; grandfather to six grandchildren, two great grandsons; brother to Sally Carr, Jeanette White, and Samuel Stewart; and family member to a host of extended family and friends.

Sadly, on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, Alonzo Beasley departed this life. He will be greatly missed by many.
