Andrew Hayes, 78, of Louisville transitioned on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Visitation 11am - 1pm Saturday October 10, 2026 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral to follow at 1pm.

Andrew Hayes was born on December 29, 1949 to the union of Andrew Hayes, Sr. and Rosa Lee Putman Hayes. He was one of five children growing up with his siblings, Rosetta, Donald, Debbie and James.

Andrew was a graduate of Central High School. After graduation, he followed in his dad's footsteps and enrolled in Barber School. His dad owned a Barber Shop, and upon graduation from Barber School, he was blessed to be guaranteed employment in his dad's shop. Working side by side with his dad, he learned valuable skills that were not always found in a textbook.

At a young age, Andrew enjoyed hitting the skating rinks on a regular basis. He was an avid skater with skills that others admired. He was also a lover of music, and being a music enthusiast, he was an excellent D,J.(Cisco Kid).

Andrew was united in Holy Matrimony to Jane Hayes, and to this union they were blessed with six children.

With heavy hearts, Andrew Hayes departed this life on September 28, 2026. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Jane Hayes; children, Anthony Rankin "Big Anthony", Angela, Brenda, Andrew "Ray Ray", Shaniqua, Anthony Prince "Lil Anthony", and William; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Andrew was preceded in death by his brother James Hayes.
