Anna Gola Robinson Merritt “Nana” 99, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Baptist Health. She was a retired owner of a daycare, the oldest member of Forest Baptist Church, and member of the Petersburg-Newburg Cemetery Committee. She was instrumental in petitioning for the Newburg Free Public Library, and an advocate for children. She was preceded in death by her parents Ella Bartlett Robinson and James Robinson, only daughter, Carolyn K. Johnson. Survivors her grandchildren, Phillip D. Johnson (Marcia), Kimberly K. Foster, Montina DeBardeleben (Arthur), Paul E. Johnson (Linda), Hope N. Sheppard (Darian), 17 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Rosetta Sweeney; and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation 10 am-11 am Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Forest Bapist Church 4500 Petersburg Road. Funeral to follow at 11 am. Burial Petersburg-Newburg Cemetery. W.T.
