Fellowship 10am - 11am Saturday, July 1, 2023 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Memorial Service to follow at 11am.

Her Beginning...Antamesha Daishawn Walker was born December 7, 1980, at 3:06 am in Norton Children’s Hospital, in Louisville, KY to Rhonda and Kenneth Walker. As she grew, so did her many nick names. She was lovingly called mama, ma, Lucy, Granny, Mimi, Mesh/Mesha, and Lulu. Whatever the situation called for, we had a name for her. As an” Army brat”, Mesha began elementary school in Ilbesheim, Germany. She completed elementary school in Fort Benning, Georgia and started middle school. Once we returned to Louisville, she attended Noe Middle School. She graduated from Manual High School. Mesha attended the National College of Business & Technology studying medical billing and coding. She continued her education at ATA and became a Medical Assistant. She worked various jobs in the medical field and her last job was in the Norton Heart Specialty Facility. Mesha married Quentin Gaddy in 2005 and from that union Desmond and Qaysia were born. Her marriage to Gregory Ford produced their son Derrick along with bonus daughters, Makayla and Miya. Once her career and life began to take off, Mesha’s health began to change. She was diagnosed with MS in March 2008, cardiomyopathy in June 2017, and triple negative breast cancer, cancer of the left lung, and cancer of the brain. She fought with everything she had, but

the struggle was too real. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones.

Her Religion…Mesha accepted Christ at Peace Presbyterian Church.

Her Passions…Mesha was a very passionate, independent, self-motivated, and organized person. She loved her family and made friends for life. She was a person who cared deeply and fiercely protected those she loved. Her biggest accomplishment was her children Desmond, Qaysia, Derrick and her bonus daughters Makayla and Miya and granddaughter, Kali.

Preceded in Death…Mesha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Clara Maddox and her uncle, Derrick Maddox.

Left to Cherish Her Memory…Mesha leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Gregory; her children, Desmond, Qaysia, Derrick, Makayla, and Miya; granddaughter, Kali; her parents, Rhonda and Kenneth Walker; her siblings, DaJuan, Alycia and Kenneth; Bonus Family, the Dasher’s from Tennessee; and a host of nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends; and her beautiful dog, Gewelz’s.
