Anthony DeQuan Toogood, 40, of Louisville departed this life on Wednesday, August 30, 2023

Visitation 11-1pm Saturday, September 9, 2023. Forest Tabernacle Baptist Church 4205 E. Indian Trail. Funeral to follow at 1pm. Burial Petersburg-Newburg Cemetery.

Anthony DeQuan Toogood was born on February 2, 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky to Evelyn Toogood and Warren Williams. He was one of six children.

Educated in the Jefferson County Public School System, Anthony attended Southern High School, and later earned his GED, allowing him the opportunity to quickly seek employment.

Anthony was an excellent mechanic, and was frequently asked by many people, to repair, recondition or restore their vehicles. His interest in cars, also peaked his desire in loving to drive. Before the world was introduced to UBER, and Anthony was not yet a car owner, he would rent a U-Haul, drive around the neighborhood and sometimes, just drive up and down the driveway. Talk about a person with a sense of humor and a jokester, you can plainly see that’s a description of Anthony. It’s ironic that Anthony had such a love for driving, that his last job was delivering merchandise for Watson’s Pools, although he had many previous employers.

When Anthony wasn’t “tinkering” with vehicles, he spent his leisure time cooking, listening to Hip-Hop, Rap, spending time with his family, especially his 10 children that he cherished, and his momma. The family called Anthony a ”momma’s boy”, because his mother rarely felt that he did anything wrong.

Sadly, on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Anthony DeQuan Toogood departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Evelyn Toogood; father Warren Williams; children, Tashawn Anthony Toogood, Alexis Toogood, Demarco Toogood, Aliyah Toogood, Anthony DeQuan Toogood II, Antera Kellar Toogood, Anthony DeQuan Toogood, Jr., Ezekiel Toogood, Hezekiel Toogood, and Zephaniah Toogood; siblings, Monisha Haynes (Carlos), Lashelle Bethel, Demetrious Bethel–Clay (Kevin), Latoya Brown, Keith Fowler, Jr., and Gregory Bethel (LaQuita); three grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
