Arthur Bryant Moore “POO”, 66 died Wednesday at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. Visitation 10-12 Friday at Community Missionary Baptist Church 4909 E. Indian Trail. Funeral to follow at 12. He was educated in the Jefferson County Public School system and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1971. While at TJ, Poo excelled in sports and played the clarinet in the band. After graduating high school, he served in the United States Air Force. Full of charm, charisma and style Poo was well loved and respected by his peers and children of the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Poo loved to sing and at any time he would serenade you with his silky smooth voice. Arthur graduated from the Eastern Kentucky University Corrections Academy and worked in corrections for the now Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex in La Grange, KY. In later years, he worked as a counselor for the Healing Place mentoring and helping others overcome their battle with addiction. Survivors his mother, Betty Moore; his children, Denisha (James), Artesha and Chicoby (Dashonna); his siblings, Robin (Kevin Sr.), Gregory (Vickie) and Judith (Darryl); his grandchildren, Gregory, D’neil, Jordan, Caleb, Chicoby, Jr., Chivion, Chicoya, Chiniah and Chi’terrious and one great grandchild, Bella. Poo also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
