Billy Wayne Davis, 67, of Frankfort, Kentucky, departed this earth on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, and love for his family and community.

Visitation 10AM - 12PM Saturday, April 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church Frankfort, 100 Clinton St. Homegoing service will follow at 12PM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to W.T. Shumake & Daughters, Louisville, KY.

Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.

Born on March 27, 1958, in Frankfort, Kentucky, Billy was the beloved son of the late Katherine Fletcher Davis and Robert Henry Davis, Sr. He was a proud graduate of Frankfort High School, Class of 1976, where he formed lifelong friendships.

Billy devoted 36 years of faithful service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky, working for the Department of Transportation as an Engineering Technologist III. He was a member and an integral part of First Baptist Church Frankfort as the facilities manager.

He was a man who valued family, community, and integrity. Billy served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves earning the distinctive dress blue uniform. He was a member of American Legion Post 176 and Meridian Sun Lodge #26, PHA, laying the foundation for a life of hard work and commitment.

He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Carla A. Carter; grandchildren: Joshua Smith, Aliyah Jones, Jeremiah Green, and Kaydence Ware; great grandchildren, Adrian and Mila Smith, Gracelyn Green, and Morgan Lipsy; siblings: Robert Henry Davis, Jr., Deborah (Bo) Bobbitt, Roberta (Jessie) Brownlee, and Drusilla (Gerald) Brownlee; and a host of cousins and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Davis and daughter, Monique Pearson.
