Charles Lee Wilson, Jr., 82 died at Norton Suburban on Saturday September 11, 2021.

Visitation 10-12 Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Harrods Creek Baptist Church 7610 River Road, Prospect, Kentucky. Funeral to follow at 12. Burial Historic Middletown Cemetery in Middletown, Kentucky.

Charles Lee Wilson, Jr., was the first child of the late Charles and Eugenia Trowel Wilson.

Educated in the Jefferson County Public School system, Charles was a graduate of Central High School. Shortly there after, he served in the National Guard from 1956—1959.

On December 3, 1960, he was united in marriage to Betty Dickerson and to this union three children were born. He worked at Navistar until his retirement on September 30, 1990.

At an early age he professed hope in Christ and became a member of Harrods Creek Baptist Church family, where he served as a trustee, and was ordained as a deacon serving until his health would no longer permit. He also attended Sunday School, Prayer Meeting and Bible Study over the years as well as singing in the Pastor's Choir.



He was appointed "Man of the Year" for 1992-1993. He was well respected by both neighbors and his church family. He will be greatly missed.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his devoted wife of sixty years, Betty; one daughter, Pamela D. Vinson (Victor); two sons, Charles L. Wilson III (Renea) and Keith L. Wilson (April); two sisters, Martha McClain (William) and Norma Wilson Turner; one brother, Sylvester Wilson; brother-in-law, Henry Key; eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
