Corey Craignell Goffner was born on October 8, 1984, in Louisville, Kentucky, to proud parents Rory and Helen Goffner.

Corey gave his life to Christ at an early age at Community Missionary Baptist Church. He shared his love of music through his participation in the church choir.

After graduating from Seneca High School, Corey continued his education at the University of Louisville.

Corey embraced life fully and had a special gift for recognizing the beauty in everyday moments. His favorite hobbies were photography and music. Through photography, he preserved memories and reminded those around him that every moment was worth remembering. Whether capturing special occasions, enjoying music, sharing laughter, or spending time with family and friends, Corey understood the importance of creating memories with the people he loved.

During his high school years, Corey played baseball and basketball and was affectionately known t by his nickname, “Cgeezy.” He brought his own unique energy, personality, and joy to every part of his life.

Above all, Corey cherished his beloved daughter, Lolagrace Goffner, who held a special place in his heart. His love for her was immeasurable, and she will forever carry a part of him with her.

Corey was preceded in death by his loving mother, Helen Igo Goffner, and his grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Lolagrace Goffner; his father, Rory Goffner (Gwen); his brothers, Wayne, Ashon, Anthony (ShaRaya), and Branden; his nephews; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and dear friends whose lives were touched by his presence and who loved him deeply.

Corey’s unexpected passing has left an emptiness in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Even in sorrow, we find comfort in the music he enjoyed, the songs he shared, the laughter he brought, and the love he gave. These memories will remain with us forever.

Corey spent his life capturing memories for others. Now, we will hold tightly to the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Rest peacefully, Corey. Your story lives on in every heart you touched, every song you shared, and every memory you helped create.
