Dalila Shani Warfield 46, of Louisville, Kentucky, transitioned from this life on Sunday January 8,2023.

Visitation 10-12 Friday, January 20, 2023, at W. T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral to follow at 12.
Dalila pronounced (Da’Leela) nickname Lee Lee was born, deaf on August 19, 1976 to union of Emma (Taylor) Warfield and the late Dalton D. Warfield Sr.

She was preceded in death by her father Dalton D. Warfield Sr. and grandson Shakur Nicole Rapp-Walker and her beloved pit bull Sasha.

In 1986, Lee Lee gave her life to Christ at the age of 9yrs old was baptized by the Reverend James R. Pitts at the Green Castle Baptist Church. Dalila was born hearing impaired but lived her life to the fullest. She was main streamed to hearing school classes at Camp Taylor Elementary School and Noe Middle School where she became the first deaf cheerleader. Her high school years Lee Lee ran track, JR/V girl’s basketball, and was a cheerleader first three years of high school. Lee Lee graduated from Kentucky School for the Deaf in 1996. She attended Gallaudet University in Washington, DC for a year, but was too homesick and moved back to Kentucky near family and friends where she later in life she got her CNA license from Jefferson Community & Technical College.

Lee Lee loved to travel. Loved all kinds and types of animals. She was an expert on keeping herself healthy and in shape. In 2015 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She bravely went through double mastectomy, chemotherapy and reconstruction. Cancer did not stop her from living. Dalila worked at Kroger deli until she became caregiver to her father. Lee Lee loved her family and was looking forward in seeing her grandson.

She leaves to celebrate her life, mother Emma T. Warfield, her daughter Shani Grace Rapp, son Samson Willis Rapp, sister Detra L. Warfield brother Dalton D. Warfield Jr. and Ta'Ziyah L Dakara. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Her fur buddy kitten Fuzzy
