David Lee Perry, 76, of Louisville passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.

Visitation 10-12 Monday, July 3, 2023 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral to follow at 12 noon.

David Lee Perry was born October 22, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Margaret Perry. He was the oldest of four children. He graduated from Central High School in 1964 and joined the United States Air Force after graduating.

On November 20, 1972 he married Wilma A. Robinson, who proceeded him in death. To their union, there were four children born.

David worked for Brown & Williamson Tobacco for many years. He then worked at Jewish Hospital in security until he retired in 2007.

He will be lovingly remembered by his three sons; Derrick Robinson (Nichole), Damon Perry, and David Perry (Winsom), and one daughter Kimberly Horton. Fourteen grandchildren; Derrick Robinson Jr, DeVante Robinson, Brinden Robinson, Tonjerra Perry, Damiah Perry, Damon Perry Jr, Demetrius Perry, Dierra Perry, Kaleb Perry, Desmond Perry, Jacob Perry, Deonna Perry and Kierston Horton, and Damariah Perry who preceded him in death. Two great-grandchildren; Ellanie Robinson and Kehlani Santos, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other siblings.
