Dwan Rodney "Big Don" Macklin, 61, of Louisville transitioned on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Jewish Hospital.

Visitation 12 - 1 Friday, March 7, 2025 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road.

Dwan Rodney Macklin was born November 27, 1963 to the late Deberia Todd Macklin and Billy Macklin in Louisville, Kentucky at the General Hospital weighing 9-10 lbs. "Big Boy"

Dwan was baptized and raised Catholic and a member of St. Charles Borromeo and Holy Cross Catholic Church and is now St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church.

He graduated from Fairdale High School so now it's time to work... Roses (Big A Shopping Center), Wick's Liquor, and Kroger.

Big Don leaves his SMILE to his one and only Brother, Partner, and Chauffeur, Michael T. Macklin (Charlene), 3 Nephews, Brandon (Ja'Erica), Terrance (Courtney), and Elijah Macklin, a great Niece, Brandee and a great Nephew, Zackiary, Aunts, Margie Todd McGinnis Goatley (John), Lois Macklin of Pulaski, Tennessee, and Paula Macklin, Uncles, Ronnie Todd (Mary), and Lee Allen Macklin (Stacy), and 2 Great-Aunts, C. Vivian Crockett Trabue, and Christine Crockett Bibb Mayfield; and A host of REAL Cousins and Friends like Family.
