Elizabeth Irene Wells was born on January 28, 1949 to the late Alonzo Frazier and Mary Watts-Frazier in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the oldest on nine children. She was called Pedi by her family and those who knew her well.

Elizabeth was united in holy matrimony to Nathaniel Eugene Wells who preceded her in death. Also, preceding her in death was her oldest son, Lamont Montez Frazier; her grandparents, Pete and Lula Watts and four siblings; James Odell, Arthur Leon, Andrew and Lula Mae Frazier.

Elizabeth accepted Christ in her life at an early age. She was a member of Cable Baptist Church, Louisville, Kentucky under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Middleton.

She was educated through the New Albany School System. Elizabeth had a passion for cooking. She worked multiple jobs throughout her life. She worked as a Cook at Masterson’s Restaurant for sixteen years and recently retired from Central State Hospital with almost twenty years of service as Food Service Supervisor. She was known to her co-workers as Liz. Everyone who knew Liz, knew she was a woman who could throw down in the kitchen. From the Chicken to the Pig Feet, Chess Pie, Collard Greens and Mac-n-Cheese, everything she cooked was so good it would make you want to smack your momma.

Pedi was a sister that would make you ask yourself, is this my sister, or is this my mother? She always wanted the best for her sisters and brothers. She was always there for them whenever they needed her. Pedi was delightful and full of a lot of wisdom and knowledge. She was a strong minded woman who raised and taught her children everything she knew. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music and spending time with her family. She also liked collecting clowns.

Our beloved, Elizabeth received her wings and transitioned into heaven to take her rest on Thursday, August 11, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories her son: Anthony Frazier; her daughter: Keesha Frazier-Squires; three step-daughters: Lesha (Anthony) Lyle, Ruth and Frances Jenkins; one step-son: Nathaniel Wells, Jr.; four siblings: Brenda Frazier, Barbara Weatherly, Robert (Celeste) Frazier and Marvin (Ruth) Frazier; her sister in-law; Harvetta Everett-Frazier; three grandchildren: LeAries Frazier, Christopher Mitchell and LaMaria Squires; two great-grandchildren: Amelia and Arianna Rodriguez; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; her best friends: Margaret Hunter and Stacey Murphy and many friends.
