W.T. Shumake & Daughters

Elzora Elaine Bell “Ellie”,74 of Georgetown, Kentucky died December 12, 2018 at Signature Health Care. Her visitation was Sunday December 16, 2018 from 2-4 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road and the Funeral followed at 4:00pm. Elzora Elaine Bell was born on Thursday, February 17, 1944, in Madison, Indiana. She was the only child born to Jospehine Broadus Simington and Isabore Simington. When her parents died when she was quite young, she was raised by relatives in Indiana, Kentucky, and Alabama. Throughout her life, you could find her sketching and drawing women’s clothing (designer dresses and Ellie originals on her sketch pad). She enjoyed cooking and worked as a cook for many years at a neighborhood restaurant. Within the family circle, her country style ribs and banana pudding were worth waiting for. Elzora was a gracious giver. She loved kids and invested her time and talents in positively helping them find their place in the world. Preceded in death by her daughter Leslie Ann Hamilton on December 9, 2010 Survivors her sons, Gregory Hamilton and Erik Hamilton, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
