Emma Taylor Warfield was born October 13, 1951 to Theresa and Willis Taylor. She transitioned to her eternal home from her earthly home the morning of June 22, 2025. Emma is preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Theresa Taylor, daughter; Dalila S. Warfield, great grandson; Shakur N. Rapp, great granddaughter; Jhariya R. Mahan, and brother Keith Taylor.

Emma united with Green Castle Baptist Church on April 06, 1960 where she served faithfully until her passing. She started her journey with the Lord by singing in the choir. She was known as Usher Extraordinaire. She attended Noonday Bible Study, Vacation Bible School, Sunday School in order to learn more about the Lord. She was a firm believer and worshipper. Emma was also a member of the Prime of Life Ministry now known as the Kings and Queens Ministry. She was also the former Church Historian.

Emma was a graduate of Seneca High School and earned a bachelor degree from Sullivan University. She worked at New Beginnings “Cultivating A Rose” where she guided and lovingly directed women back into society.

Emma met no strangers. She was witty and outgoing. She lived life to its fullest. In spite of her illness, Emma continued to praise God for her journey, smiling through it all. She was the family historian, keeping track of all the relatives. She loved to play cards, taking care of her pets, traveling and most of all she loved her kids. Her favorite saying was “I’m putting my kids in the hands of the Lord”. She was known as the best friend anyone could have.

In her memory, we celebrate a life well-lived-a life full of love, laughter, and the enduring lessons she imparted to each of us. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her influence will continue to guide and inspire us.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son; Dalton Warfield, Jr., daughter; Deitra Warfield, brothers; Willis Taylor Jr. (Nora), Kenneth Taylor, grandchildren that she raised; Shani and Sam Rapp, and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews. A very devoted sister friend Vivian Puckett.
