Georgia Etta Stone was born February 21, 1931 in Eminence, Kentucky, as one of seven children, to the late Etta Mae and Anderson Tinsley, Sr.
Georgia accepted Christ at an early age, and later became a member of the Spirit Anew Ministries Church, where she remained a member, under the leadership of Pastor Charles R. Young , Sr. She had a great love for Pastor Young, Sis. Young, and the members of her church.
She was united in marriage to the late William E. Stone, Sr., and to this union, they were blessed with five children.
Georgia loved entertaining people in her home, and found much enjoyment in playing cards and listening to music. She was a kind hearted and concerned caregiver to many family members, neighbors, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, William E. Stone, Sr., two sons, William E. Stone, Jr. and Gary M. Stone, Sr.; one daughter, Vickie Stone; two brothers, Anderson Tinsley, Jr. and Albert O. Tinsley; four sisters, Virgia Lee Washington, Mahaley Tinsley Walker, Hallie Farris and Clara Mae Tinsley.
Georgia departed this life on Monday, May 30, 2022, and leaves to cherish her precious memories, one son, Charles Stone (Charlene); and one daughter, Carolyn Stone, both of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
Although the sun has set on her life, she will never be forgotten. Her spirit and her kindness will always live in the memories we hold so dear in our hearts.
