Jacqueline Elaine Reed Henderson, 77, of Louisville transitioned on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.

Visitation 11am - 12pm Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Star Hope Baptist Church 5009 E. Indian Trail. Funeral to follow at 12:00pm

Jacqueline Elaine Reed Henderson was born August 25, 1947 in Paducah, Kentucky to McKinley "Jack" Reed and Georgia Frazier Reed.

At an early age, Jacqueline gave her life to Christ, and became a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church, then Macedonia Baptist Church, both in Paducah, Kentucky. Later, Jackie united with Star Hope Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jacqueline attended Tillman High School in Paducah, Kentucky. She was employed at Hazelwood Hospital for twenty plus years until her retirement. She enjoyed her family, and was known for her pleasant smile and friendly personality.

Jacqueline Elaine Reed Henderson departed this life on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Lyndon Henderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters, Jo Gaines (J. R.), Dawn Urrutia (Deyago), Gwendolyn Collier (Mickey), Teresa "Big Moma" Shed; one sister, Lynette Thomas; two brothers, McKinley Reed, Jr. (Eva), Jerome Reed (Carrie); best friend, Joe "Papa Joe" Banks; grandchildren, Jofrantanay "JoJo" Lavender, Jovante Lavender, Demetri Urrutia, Deyvon Watters, Christian Davis, Treyshawn Davis, Dontay Baskette, Chloe Lozano, Kay Perlingeirro; five great grandchildren, Zeon "BooBoo" Ellington, Savora "Sweetpea" Jacobs, Lumyx "LuLu" Lavender, Zeke "ZZ" Ellington, and Z'aire Ellington

Rest to her ashes and peace to her soul for the battle was fought and the victory has been won by our ever loving Jackie. She was born for a higher destiny than earth can afford. May God sustain us and give us all strength on this day.
