Jasmine Hereford Burdette, 33, of Louisville transitioned on May 27, 2026.

Visitation 5-8 Friday, June 5, 2026 at W,T, Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral 11am Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the funeral home.

Jasmine Maurae Hereford Burdette was born on August 7, 1992, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Mildred Hereford Harris and Stephen Dale Harris. She was the eldest of three children.

Jasmine began her Christian journey at an early age and was gifted with a beautiful singing voice. She sang in several choirs over the years. She attended Jefferson County Public Schools until her senior year, when she moved to Atlanta, joined the step team, competed throughout Georgia, and graduated from Creekside High School. Jasmine also had a passion for hairstyling and later enrolled at Empire Cosmetology School. She had a special talent for creating styles that made everyone feel like a diva.

Before returning to her hometown, Jasmine lived in Lexington, Kentucky. She made Louisville her permanent home to be near family and to give her three children more time with their loved ones.

Jasmine loved singing gospel music, cooking, and dancing. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and her laughter was contagious. Like her mother, Mildred, she never met a stranger. Once cell phones became common, she made sure nearly every special moment was captured in photos.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Jasmine Maurae Hereford Burdette departed this life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Hereford Harris, and her grandmother, Barbara Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Adrian Burdette; her loving children, Cayden Warren, Araiyah Warren, and Zachary Jenkins, Jr.; her father, Steven Dale Harris; her sisters, Tammara Harris and TreNaya Boyington; her grandmother, Mary Hereford; her godmother, Ruby Smith; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, Jasmine’s love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will forever live in
