Jawana Marie Chambers Larue was born on Wednesday, July 6, 1960 to Jean Chambers-Moore and the late Elbridge Chambers in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Reared in the Newburg area, Jawana began her Christian journey at Newburg Church of Christ. She was educated in the Jefferson County Public School System and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Jawana Larue was an outgoing daycare owner in Louisville Kentucky, and Portsmouth, Virginia. She had a strong passion and love for teaching children. Jawana was a peaceful woman of God with a joyful spirit unmatched by others in need. She loved her family so much and family was the most important thing in the world to her. Jawana could always brighten up your day when you are feeling down. Jawana was a wonderful mother, wife, daughter, aunt, sister, friend and most importantly “human being”, and she will truly be missed by all that had an opportunity to know her. Jawana Larue is an angel who was called home on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She is survived by her two sons Jamaur and Jamaal Larue, stepdaughter Tomika Johnson, and their dad Kenneth Larue, grandchildren, Cameron Larue, Tekhia McCall and Rekhi Leacraft, siblings Carlous (Sandra) and William (Wanda) Chambers, Deborah (Gregory) Bass, William (Amy) Chambers; 8 nephews, 5 nieces and a host of relatives and friends and two adoring pets, Trixie and Cocoa..
