Jayden L. Hampton was born May 22, 2003 to proud parents William and Demetra Hampton. He was one of four children.

Jayden accepted Christ at an early age. His relationship with Christ was exemplified through his positive attitude, respect for others, and the life he tried to live.

Jayden was affectionately called Jay and LaFlare. At a young age, he became an entrepreneur and started his own clothing company called F.T.E. (Fly Til Eternity). Being the owner of his clothing company, afforded him the opportunity to purchase his dream car three weeks ago.

He loved fashion, clothes, shopping, sports, cars and family. Even though Jayden owned a clothing store, he was also an Electrician.

“Be Like Jay”

(A Tribute To Our Son)

Our son was a gift that we cherished for 20 years. We tried to plant seeds in him every chance we could, to make him a good person, who showed respect, who cared for family, and who lived a good life. He was all of those things, and so much more. I like to think that God takes the GOOD ones to be with Him, and to prepare a place for us. That is what Jay is doing.

We ask ourselves, “If a person like Jayden can go so young, what is happening to this world?” We all have a set amount of time on this earth, and it was Jay’s time.

Jayden was always an easy baby to raise, a respectful child, and an honorable man. He lived life to the fullest. It was often heard by many people, that Jay was such a joy to be around, he was so positive, showed good home training, and was very respectable to everyone. Jay’s being was the best thing that ever happened to us. He was always worried about the future and what was happening to this world. He even started family food and supply stash for emergencies. Well, my baby doesn’t have to worry any more about this world, about being shot or hurt, or how this world is eventually going to end. We will miss him always. Just like the saying “Be Like Mike”, I want to try to “Be Like Jay.” Parents try to teach their kids lessons throughout life, but Jay was teaching us lessons every day. He will be our inspiration.

Jayden L. Hampton, departed this life on December 18, 2023, and leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, William and Demetra Hampton; siblings, William Hampton, Jr., Reggie Hampton, and Destiny Caudle; other relatives and friends.

Jay’s company, F.T.E., which means Fly Til Eternity, is our eternal example of my baby as an Angel who is now flying! Til we meet again Baby Love! Always, Your Parents.
