Jessie Carothers, 84, of Louisville died Wednesday at Baptist East Hospital. Survivors her children, Phillip Frierson and Stefni Powell; siblings, Luella Porter, Joseph Frierson, 4 granddaughters Shukura, Cheron, Adrienne Michelle. Visitation 6-9 Wednesday at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home, 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral 12 p.m. Thursday at Stoner Memorial AME Zion Church 1127 W. Oak Street. Burial Zachary Taylor National Cemetery.
