Jordan Deion Trotter, 26, of Louisville died Monday, November 13, 2023.

Visitation 1pm-2pm Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral to follow at 2pm.

JORDAN DEION TROTTER was born September 8, 1997, in Louisville, Kentucky to Giavonnia Trotter and Phillip Jones, Jr.

Jordan received his education from the Jefferson County Public School System. During his younger years he was an incredibly good athlete. He was good at any sport he tried, but especially talented at football.

Anyone who knew Jordan knew how special he was. Though he made some mistakes, he still was the one who would make you smile. He was funny, loving and kind to most people. He was the type of person who claimed everyone as family. If you asked for a show of hands, who was his cousin, almost every one would raise their hands. Some are legitimate, others adopted. He has a large family on both sides. That infectious smile and laugh will be missed.

We believe if Jordan had more time on this earth, his prayer would have been:

“O LORD, I am so sorry,. I lay before you my regrets, and my guilt, and my heartache. I ask for Your forgiveness, and trust in Your everlasting grace to redeem me and guide me in the right way.

Jordan’s life ended on Monday, November 13, 2023, much too soon. Jordan Deion Trotter leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Giavonnia Rudolph Trotter; eight siblings, Jaylain, Jermiah, Jalizzia, and Jacoby Trotter, Phillip C Jones, III, Kayla, Malaysia, and Shay Jones; great aunt—Connie Fraction (Robert); cousin, Camille Robinson; grandparents, Gloria Jones, Phillip C. Jones, Sr.; great grandmother, Mattie Sue Grant; nephews, Karson Trotter and Nehemiah Trotter; and a host of family and friends.
