Kevin Nicholas Russell was born on January 30, 1967 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents Elaine S. Douglas Russell and Leroy E. Russell, Jr. Departing from Tennessee, the family relocated to Louisville, Kentucky. It was in Kentucky that Kevin received his education in the Jefferson County Public School System. In 1985, Kevin graduated from Jeffersontown High School, and following graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army.

On February 2, 1983, Kevin was baptized into the Church of Christ under the leadership of Bro. William Baker.

After serving time in the military, Kevin returned to Louisville, and was employed, for a few years, as a truck driver. He later found employment at Ford Motor Company, where he retired after 30 years of service.

Kevin spent his spare time riding and tinkering with motorcycles, cooking, watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Tennessee Volunteers and hanging out with family.

He married, and was blessed to have three beautiful daughters, that each was the apple of his eye, and certainly adored. He had very loving grandparents William H. Douglas “Papa” and Mildred C. Douglas “Granny” that cherished him.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Kevin entered into his eternal home. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Elaine Russell; daughters, Kori Nolcox, Elana N. Russell and Alia D. Russell; Brothers, Chris (Shonn) and Laron (Debbie) Russell., other siblings: Kym Knox, Damon Chandler, Vanessa Brooks; aunts, Helen Mangun, Gladys Hargrave, Percilla Jackson, Anita (Carl) Washington all of Memphis, Tennessee, Barbara Gosey of Morene Valley, California; uncles, Charles (Patsy) Russell and Leon Russel; a host of first cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren: Kristian and Kayden Nolcox, and so many wonderful friends and co-workers and his family in Christ Jesus at Newburg Church of Christ.
