Larry Anthony Richardson was born on Tuesday, November 17, 1959, at the old Louisville General Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky . He was educated in the JCPS system and worked hard to complete his general studies, but his passion, love and skills was in his artistic ability for drawing, which is where he excelled…they knew no limit. He graduated from Durrett High School in 1979 and some years later, worked at Kroger on Bardstown Road and Trevilian Way, as a Stock Clerk until his illness.

Larry was premature at birth, giving his mother reason to be concerned about his health, but being the youngest of 12 children; (6) brothers and (5) sisters, he was born and raised in a loving home, and received more than enough care and attention. Despite the many challenges that Larry faced growing up, he would become a strong, tall, strapping figure of a man, like his brothers’, that he admired and respected. He was a “good son, brother, uncle and cousin” to his family members that knew him, especially to the younger family members who referred to him as “Uncle Larry” that he helped his mother care for and raise over the years.

Larry attended church with his mother where several family members already worshipped at the Newburg Church of Christ.

After a number of visits, he was baptized on May 11, 1985 by Bro William Baker where he faithfully attended and worked doing all he could as a servant of the Lord, including teaching Sunday School and Bible Study Classes as well as helping with the youth.

On Friday, October 21, 2022 Larry Anthony Richardson departed this life at the Laurels of Hamilton Nursing Home/Rehabilitation Facility in Hamilton, Ohio where he was a long term resident

Uncle Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Annie Richardson; brothers Robert and Joe Richardson; sisters Annie Edwards, Naomi Weaver and Norma Jean Richardson. He is survived by his siblings Ruth Helen Hinkle, Joyce Scott, Edward (Sharon) Richardson, George (Bernie) Richardson, James (Diane) Richardson, Ralph (Cheryl) Richardson and a host of nieces and nephews four (4) generations strong, cousins and friends of the family that knew and loved him as well.
