Obituary Michael Eugene Compton was born September 14, 1984 to Laticia “Missy” Compton and Michael “Sleepy” Terry. He was a Christian by Christian experience. On Monday, February 10, 2014, the Lord called His son home. He was a kid at heart and loved his mother dearly. Spending time with his kids was a must. Each year he would take them and his nieces and nephews to Carl Casper Car Show, and Waterfront Park, this was his way of rewarding them for a job well done in school. He loved to make people laugh and smile. He had to have every new pair of J’s that came out with an outfit to match. He believed in his heart, that he was a hunk. He was a protector of his mother and sisters. Whenever someone asked him to do, he would make it his responsibility to get the job done. Loving, caring, protective, kind-hearted, funny, honest, are just a few words that can be used to describe him. He loved to hang out with his friends in the Eastend part of town, they were more than just his buddies, they were his brothers. Michael was preceded in death by his Grandpa William ‘Bill’ Carruthers. He is survived by his parents, Laticia Compton and Michael (Audrey) Terry; grandparents Harry and Virginia Terry and Andrea Carruthers; his children, Michael Compton Jr. and Malaiya Harris, his two kids that were just as loved as his own, Natylia and Tre; brother, DeShon Compton(Tonya Spalding) and sisters, Andrea Compton, Sharonda Long and Shalonda Long. He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and Mike’s special Love, his fiancé, Ashley Hamlet. A wealth of extended family will also miss him.
