Oliver Todd Ross was a father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and warmth to those around him. He lived a life defined by loyalty, love for family, and a deep sense of community.
“Todd” as he was called by family and friends, was the adopted son of Oliver L. Ross and Carolyn (Lindsey) Ross. He was originally named Lawrence Calvin Washington at birth. Todd was a caring brother to his sister, Lisa M. Ross Beteet (Kenneth).
He leaves behind his loving children, Casey Ross and Taylor Kaestner (James); and his children from his former marriage to Sonya W. Ross, his firstborn Jasmine Ross, Teresa Ross, and Todd Ross; as well as his stepson, Darren Harbour. He is also survived by his six cherished grandchildren: Taveon Taylor, Sonya E. Ross, Averie Ross, Cayden Ross, Elijah Ross, and Aliyah Ross, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Todd graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1985, where he was an active and talented athlete. He participated in football, track, and swimming, and also shared his voice in the church choir—an early reflection of his spirited and well-rounded nature.
A former Marine, Todd, carried himself with strength and discipline throughout his life. Professionally, he was a licensed mechanic, known for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he found great happiness as a member of Riders For Life, known as Black Street. His loyalty to the club ran deep, and the brotherhood he found there brought him lasting fulfillment.
Todd will also be remembered for the simple joys he mastered, especially his talent on the grill. He had a way of bringing people together, whether through food, laughter, or just his presence.
In addition to his immediate family, Todd leaves to cherish his memory, his stepmother, Deborah Ross; his step-siblings, Jeffery, Jerry, and Kendra who he loved dearly and a cousin who was like a brother, Geoge Ross “Jordy”.
Above all, Todd was a man who valued connection. Whether as a father, friend, or fellow rider, he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
