Patricia Payne Mayberry, 73 of Louisville transitioned on Friday, May 8, 2026.
Patricia “Pat” Faye Payne Mayberry was born on July 11, 1952, to Katie Louise Franklin Payne and Dewitt Paul Payne. She was one of three daughters. Pat graduated from Central High School and attended Western Kentucky Vocational School and Jefferson Community College.
Pat loved her family and friends dearly. She was known for her outgoing, fun-loving personality and for always sharing her beautiful smile.
On May 8, 2026, Pat was called to take her rest.
Pat leaves to cherish her memory: her sisters, Jo Ann Austin and Mildred Payne; daughters, Nechelle Austin, Stephanie Payne, and Heather Payne; grandchildren, Niasha Sawyers, Katelyn Payne, Nehemiah Ouldelhadj, Savannah Grimmett, and Divinity Payne; great-grandchildren, Ezra Mack and Trimond Brown; aunt, Hettie Franklin Jones; cousins, Adrienne Redden, Ennis Murphy, Gwendolyn Murphy, Karen Jones, and Samuel Mayfield; and childhood friend, Linda Williams.
The family extends special thanks to Pat’s cousin, Ennis Murphy, for his support during her stay at the nursing facility.
