Patricia Rae Mansfield Wright 65, of Shelbyville, Kentucky died April 4, 2022.

Visitation 4-6pm Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road, Louisville, Ky. Funeral to follow at 6pm.

Patricia Rae Mansfield Wright was born Saturday, February 16, 1957 in Louisville, to the union of Milton & Elsie Hobbs Mansfield. She was one of four children.

She joined Old Shepherdsville Road Christian Church and accepted Christ at the age of eleven under Pastor Cornelius Daniels. She was gifted with a beautiful alto singing voice and sang in the choir. Pat later attended First Baptist Church of Eminence and sang in the choir. She’s a graduate of Seneca High School class of 1975 and went on later to get an Associates of Arts in Early Childhood Education.

Her passion for working with children and watching them develop kept her in the field for 20+ years. Pat had a young and vibrant soul. She enjoyed traveling, R&B and Hip-Hop music and had a special skill for winning tickets from radio contests and frequently attended events for free. She also liked to online shop and kept up with the latest technology and gadgets. She loved talking and laughing with family and friends as well as keeping up with her Facebook family.

On Monday, April 4, 2022, Patricia Rae Mansfield Wright was called to take her rest. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Milton & Elsie Mansfield and son, Randy Bridgewaters. Patricia leaves to cherish her memories, son and daughter-in-law, Ryan & Sherri Bridgewaters, sister and brother-in-law, Pamela & Jerry Williams, brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Joann Mansfield, brother, Kevin Mansfield. Her grandchildren are Kamen Bridgewaters, Dorien Bridgewaters, Sydney Bridgewaters, Raven Bridgewaters, Kobe Bridgewaters & Kyrie Bridgewaters. A host of nieces and nephews including Sharae Mansfield, Dominique Mansfield, Taylor Wright, Kevin Mansfield Jr., and Amanda Peak will cherish her dearly as well.
