Paul Anton German, 61, of Louisville died May 20, 2023.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road.
Paul Anton German was born on July 28, 1961 to the late Barbara and Roy German in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the 2nd oldest of their children.
In 2011 Paul confessed his life to Christ and joined Portland Memorial Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Arthur Smith.
A graduate of Trinity High School, Paul served 18 years as a Sergeant in platoon 438MP Company in the United States National Guard. Before his illness transgressed, Paul was employed by MSD for eight years.
Paul was known for being a jokester and laughter surely followed. He was a man of enormous heart, never met a stranger, and had conversation and advice for all. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, dancing, but most importantly spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted die-hard Louisville Cardinal fan.
On Saturday, May 20, 2023, Paul Anton German, departed this life and gained his wings. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife, Patricia German, children, Paula German, Mary German, Constance Shoulders, De’Andra Nichole Fitcheard, Patrice Kidd (Sir James “Bam”), Sherlrice Ellis, Christy Fields (Alonzo “Choo”) and Rob Sherman; siblings, Christine German, William German, and Frederick German; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Calloway; twenty-two grandchildren, Dinah "Woobie" Smith, Michael"Bigger Baby" DeShields, Phillip Shoulders, D'Andre Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Derrion Shoulders, Janique Shoulders, Ceven Shoulders, Da'Zarie Muhammad, Delion Keyona Burks, Dakota Hart, Gerald"Kool Daddy"Jackson, Jalen"Pie face" Jackson, Elijah "Head Quarter's" Miller, Jayla "Hershey" Ellis, Deasia "Bink Bink" Reid, Jerliyah "Shea Shea" Glover, Christopher "Budda Man" Glover, Rico "Smooth" Taylor, Cierra "Peanut butter" Smith, Kali "Kal Kal" English, Kayden "Jaws" English; ten great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
