Rosa B. Barnes, 85 passed away peacefully at her home on Monday. She was retired from JCPS system and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse Barnes; two brothers, Jesse Charles and William Lee Duncan; three sisters, Ruth Mae, Margaret Elizabeth, and Ophelia Juanita Gray. Survivors her children, Rev. Sharon Payne, Christina Williams, Jaymes Barnes (Kecia), and William Barnes (Tammy); two grandsons, Gregory and Duncan Barnes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special caregiver Karen Buckner and her associates and friends. Visitation 3-5 Sunday at W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Private funeral and burial at New Albany Veteran Cemetery.
