Stacey Elizabeth Spencer, 45, of Louisville passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Houston, Texas while on vacation with her family.
Visitation 2:30pm - 3:30pm Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Community Missionary Baptist Church 4909 E. Indian Trail. Memorial service to follow at 3:30pm.
Stacey Elizabeth Spencer was born on Tuesday, October 17, 1978, to proud parents Terri Fay Cox and Randall Ray Cox, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the oldest of their three children.
Stacey was educated in the Jefferson County Public School System, and was a graduate of Central High School. Stacey's graduation from high school was not the end of her continued education.
In later years, Stacey proceeded with learning other skills that would enhance her. She mastered Restaurant Managing skills and earned her Real Estate credentials. But, even though she was equipped to be gainfully employed, she chose to be the best homemaker there ever was - a fulfilling, gratifying, and rewarding manager of her household. As the saying goes, "She was the hostess with the mostest." When visiting Stacey's home, she made sure that you were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable. It was a guarantee that everyone entering her home would have a good time. There was beauty in Stacey's laughter - it was contagious and would spread throughout the room.
Stacey began her Christian walk at Community Missionary Baptist Church, and was baptized by Rev. Roosevelt Lightsy, Jr.
In her leisure time, Stacey entertained herself by watching crime TV shows, and the Dr. Phil show. When she was just "chilling", she would turn on her music, dance, and laugh while she tried to learn the latest dances.
Family was near and dear to Stacey, and so was her fur baby, Bear. Stacey loved swimming for exercise and enjoyment, cooking for relaxation, shopping 'til she dropped, and was a collector of purses that she accumulated over the years.
Sadly, Stacey Elizabeth Spencer, departed this life on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in Houston, Texas. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Ricky Lee Spencer, Sr.; daughters, Victoria Lee Spencer and Kaleigh Layne Foreman; stepson, Ricky Lee Spencer, Jr.; two grandchildren, Ricky Lee Spencer, III and Raydin Lee Spencer; her mother, Terri Fay Cox; grandpa, Lincoln Sharp; one sister, Andrea Leigh Cox; five very close sister in-laws, Katherine Tinsley, Veronica Girton, Melissa Allen, Beverly Tinsley, and Genora Jefferies; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
