Visitation for Terry DeJuan Johnson, Sr., was held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 10-12 at Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home 3815 Newburg Road. Funeral followed at 12:00 pm.

Terry DeJuan Johnson, Sr., aka Black Borda, aka T Streetz, aka Fat Boy, was born April 10, 1986, to Sylvia Johnson and Darrell Thornton. He was the second born of their three sons together. To know Terry was to love him and to appreciate him meant you had to know him. Terry’s greatest strength was his ability to be there for everyone. It didn’t matter if you needed help or support, whether you were family or friend; whatever way he could assist no matter what had to be done, he was there.

As a child, Terry was involved in sports and played football. As he got older, he developed a passion for old school cars and car shows. Terry was a great cook, and he loved every minute of providing a good meal to any and every one in need or around him. He loved to dress to impress always and was seen in the cleanest attire and shoes as well, and the same went for his children. They had to be just as sharp. Beyond this, he was a loving father and a great provider always---going above and beyond for his children.

Terry was determined, to say the least, when he set his mind to do something it was done no matter what or who stood in the way. He was truly a visionary. He was in the process of starting his own clothing line called BGMG which he believed by all accounts to have been a major success and accomplishment in the making. He loved his family, blood and adopted, and was a loyal brother through ups and downs. He was a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews but also someone anyone could go to if they needed anything. Since he was so good with his hands and could fix just about anything, the family would lean on him the most. He was our “Jack of all Trades”.

On Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the tender age of 35, Terry DeJuan Johnson, Sr., departed this life. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Sylvia Johnson (Wayne); father, Darrell Thornton (Marcia); Daughter, TaeYonna D. Johnson; two sons, Terry D. Johnson, Jr., and Teriyon D. Johnson; sister, Travonne Smith (Mike); five brothers, Darrell Boaz (Viennese), Timothy D. Johnson, Sr. (Angela), Travis D. Johnson (Shatara), Demetrice Thornton; Christopher D. Thornton; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
