Thaddeus Wayne Overall was born, Thursday, March 29, 1951, to the late Joseph Lee Overall and Mable Mansfield Overall in Shelbyville, Kentucky. He was the second oldest child in the family. Some claim that his nickname, “T.W.O.” referred to his initials and others claim it was because he was the #2 child born into the family. Later the family would expand to include three daughters and four sons. Thaddeus was baptized at a young age at Elk Creek Missionary Baptist Church. When the family relocated to the Newburg area, he became a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church. Educated in the Jefferson County Public School System, Thaddeus was very athletic and played baseball and basketball for Seneca High School Redskins. After graduation, Thaddeus joined the US Marines Reserve. “Thaddeus Wayne” enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, cooking and watching the U of L cardiac cards. Co-workers tell of his love for sports, he always read the sports section to keep abreast of his favorite teams. He loved cooking dishes for others to eat, especially his potato salad. He also collected music of all sorts and had over 500 albums in his collection. He worked beside his father in the family business, “Overall and Sons Painters” and was an expert drywall finisher. Later he would work for Coleman Properties for many years. He was also a handy man for Mrs. Lilly and Mrs. Emma. When Thaddeus lost his voice, he took the challenge to learn to text. His niece Milan spent many days helping him learn to communicate on his Android phone. When he became ill he still kept a caring spirit for others. His smile, laughter and sense of humor were a part of his personality. He was kind-hearted, charismatic, and charming; a real joy to be around.
