W.T. Shumake & Daughters

Virginia Ruth Brooks, 92, of Frankfort, died Friday at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. Survivors are her son, James L. Garth; daughter, Toni Brooks; brother, George Randolph Withers (Barbara); sister, Lydia Alcorn; grandsons, Bryan A. Pippin (Nicole) and Kyle Edward Shumake Brooks; one sister-in-law, Bertha Withers; three great-granddaughters, Bryonna Elaine Pippin Mercer, Virginia Pippin and Eboni Mercer; great-great-grandson, Bryon Mercer; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. at St John A.M.E. Church, 210 Clinton St. Frankfort, Kentucky. Funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. W.T. Shumake & Daughters Funeral Home are in charge.
