Wanda Jean Foster Bess was born Sunday, February 24, 1952, in Greensburg, Kentucky, to William and Lucy Ann Hendricks Foster. She accepted Christ at an early age at Community Missionary Baptist Church. Wanda attended public school in Jefferson County, Louisville, KY, graduated from Seneca High School. She continued her education at Sullivan College of Business graduating with a degree in Office Administration. She went to work as a legal secretary at a Law Office. She also worked as a secretary on the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. She loved children and worked for Unseld Child Care Center and Precious Moments Preschool Academy. She enjoyed photography, really loving taking pictures. She was preceded in death by her father, William Foster; mother, Lucy Ann Foster; brothers, William Foster (Boogie), Jr. and Kerry Foster and her beloved son George Bess IV. Wanda Jean passed away October 5, 2018, at Audubon Hospital. She is survived by her son, Jason Lee Bess; sister, Debra Foster Jackson(James “JJ”); brothers James and Larry Foster; aunt, Mae Laird(Henry); uncle, John Johnson (Margaret); grandchildren, Brooke Smith-Bess, Monique Smith-Bess; Joy Smith-Bess and Ronnie Robinson; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of relatives.
