William “Bill” Harold Titus Jr., was born October 17, 1955, to William Titus Sr. and Norma Jean Walker Titus, in Louisville, Kentucky. Bill grew up in the Newburg area graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School. He later went on to enlist in the Army where he traveled parts of the country on various adventures. Much of his early adult years were spent in Michigan before coming home to Louisville, Kentucky.
William married Della (Bailey) Titus and through that union came William Harold Titus III and Colette Marie Titus.

Throughout the years, Bill spent a great deal of time pouring into his children and grandchildren, Denaisa Daughtry and D’von Titus, knowledge from his experiences through life.

Bill worked for years for Winn Dixie before eventually becoming a Tradesman. There wasn't much he couldn't fix or make. He was a Self-Employed General Contractor & Painter for decades before his health took a turn.

There are many admirable qualities that can be attributed to Bill Titus; Son, Father, Brother, Friend, and most of all a Lover of Christ. Until the end, his mission was to invite as many as possible to get to know Jesus. Along the way, Bill was an excellent Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Lay Minister. Once he lost his ability to work with his hands, he realized his true purpose was to spread the Gospel more than ever. He, along with a group of friends, formed a group traveling around to nursing homes to hold Bible Study for their residents just as he had done when he was a resident himself. He also found ways to be of service through various Organizations such as KATS Network, Metro Disability, Moving Forward, The Amputee Coalition, and many more.

Many will tell you that Bill’s outlook on life in the last few years would give you hope and a different perspective on life. As a Peer Mentor, he would often use his story to encourage others to persevere. So much so that it has gained him Local and National notoriety. He was never afraid to speak up for what he felt was right, advocating for those who otherwise would be overlooked.

Bill transitioned December 20, 2024, after battling with his health for several years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Norma Jean Titus; siblings, Ann, Juanita, Theodore, and Michelle as well as his grandson William Titus IV.

Left to carry on his legacy are his children, William Titus III, and Colette Titus; grandchildren, Denaisa Daughtry and D’von Titus; siblings, Geraldine (Greg) Bald, Ronald Titus, James(Lisa) Titus, Michael (Lisa) Titus; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

May we all make him proud and share the love of Jesus in our everyday walk.
