Born on February 19, 1973, in Louisville, Kentucky, Shawn was the cherished son of Rhonda Brents and William C. Arnold. He grew up in Louisville, attended Jefferson County Public Schools, and proudly graduated from Fern Creek High School in 1991.
A Life of Passion and Talent
Shawn was a man of many talents, defined by his work and his artistic soul. Throughout his life, he worked at the Audubon Country Club but spent most of his career at Silver Spoon Catering, where he was well-known and valued.
Beyond his work, Shawn was a gifted freehand artist who loved to draw, a talent he inherited from his father and proudly shared with his youngest nephew. He was also a skilled, self-taught barber. For Shawn, cutting hair was a true passion. He never turned down anyone who asked, using his clippers to connect with people and bring joy.
Family
If you knew Shawn, you knew how deeply he loved his family. His favorite moments were the simple ones: gathering for family cookouts, laughing, and spending quality time with those he loved most. He was a passionate Louisville Cardinals fan, cheering on his team with pride. To look back on his childhood was to remember Shawn’s pure joy in flying kites, a favorite pastime that always brought a smile to his face.
Shawn’s greatest legacy is the love he leaves behind in his six beautiful daughters: MaxAnn Mucker, Jessica Hinkle, Carmen Lowe, Jade Wilson, Janae Short, and Antoinette McAtee.
He is also survived by his devoted parents, Rhonda Brents and William C. Arnold; his loving siblings, Erika Arnold, Rodriquez L. Arnold, and Khara Nicole Roberson with her husband, James; five grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Shawn was reunited in eternity with his grandparents, Catherine & Walter Brents, and Margaret Wheeler Arnold English, as well as his special friend, whom he loved just like a brother, Damon McClain.
