William Franklin Cherry, Jr., 79, of Louisville died Sunday May 7, 2017 at Highland Nursing Home. He was a Central High Graduate and a member of Young’s Chapel AME Zion Church. He is survived by his wife Brenda Demines Cherry, sister Marlene Cherry McKelvy (William), daughter Lisa Cherry Vance (Samuel) stepchildren Kendria Moore, Chadwick Moore (Charmaine), Relya Moore-Guess, Jory Moore, Kenneth Cherry, Rhonda Cherry, grandson raised as a son, Brandon Moore, a host of grandchildren and extended relatives. Visitation 1-2pm Saturday, May 20 2017 at Community Missionary Baptist Church 4909 E. Indian Trail; Funeral to follow at 2pm. Burial Petersburg-Newburg Cemetery.
