Willie Josell Trowell Griffin was a very loving person born on Tuesday, June 14, 1932 in Prospect Kentucky, to the parents of Elizabeth Pruitt Taylor and James Edward Taylor Sr. She grew up and was baptized in Harrods Creek Baptist Church. Later, she joined Community Missionary Baptist Church. She attended Central High School to the 8th grade then later, graduated with a GED by attending night school. She worked and retired from Enro Shirt Company where she was a multitasker. She later became a CNA and was taking care of people, which is something she loved to do. She cleaned houses to support her family. She stopped working to take care of her great-grandchildren. A few of her favorite things she enjoyed was watching her stories, watching Judge Judy, and old western movies. Her favorite artists were B.B King and Stevie Wonder. Willie loved to cook and clean, mopping was her favorite. She cooked the best greens and corn pudding with her special recipe. Willie Josell Trowell Griffin was preceded in death by her son Richard Edward Trowell (Steamboat), siblings- Barbara Leggs, Carrie Lee, James Edward Taylor Jr., James Annie. On Thursday, October 11, 2018, Willie Josell Trowell Griffin departed this life. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, three daughters; Carmen Trowell, Marie Ford, and Wanda Trowell; and two sons; Donald Trowell and Michael Trowell, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends. “Me and baby sis was thick as thieves and we stuck together till the end.
