Yvonne went Home to be with the Lord, on August 29, 2021 at Baptist Hospital Floyd in New Albany, Indiana surrounded by her family.

She was born in New Albany, Indiana on October 19, 1954 to Willie & Mildred Lacy. She was the 3rd child out of 5 children God had blessed them with.

She received Christ as her Savior at an early age at Howard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, under the Leadership of Rev. Cluade Kimborh, where she remained a dedicated faithful member.

She was educated in Jefferson County School System of Louisville, Kentucky where she and her husband resided.

She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1972, and then attended Sullivan University where she majored in Secretarial Science.

Yvonne started her work career at the age of 20 with JCPS as a Secretary for Price Elementary. From there, she took a position at Hillerich & Bradsby Company as a Secretary, and then TRICARE Humana Military Insurance as a Claims Clerk until she passed away.

Yvonne found joy in serving the Lord and caring for others. She sang with the United Voices Choir, served as President of Ushers, Card Secretary for Missionary, President of Southeastern District Ushers Ministry, Custodian of Howard Chapel Baptist Church, member of the Culinary Department, member of the Southeastern District Pastors, Ministers, Deacon Wives, and Widowers Auxiliary.

She was about everything being done in a decent orderly manner. This was her Joy.

She was the mother of four Boys, Grandmother of three grandsons and two granddaughters.

Beginning in 1979, Yvonne spent almost four years in Germany as she continued to raise her three sons and became acquainted with their language and culture.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son Aaron LaCount Woodard, Julian Woodard and her oldest brother Dwight A. Carr.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband Donald Evans; Sons Reginald E. Woodard (Heather), and Donald Evans Jr.; Grandchildren Tarin T. Woodard, Mariah Beatty, Donald Evans III, and Eric Spears; Parents Willie & Mildred Lacy; Sister Carolyn Davis; Brothers Willie Lacy Jr. (Vette) and Roderick (Ricky) Lacy; Nieces Zakiya Lacy, Lisa Smith (Wesley), Rolynne Williamson; Nephews Willie Lacy III (Alicia), Dwight J. Lacy, Antwan Bailey, William Williamson (Kendra), Ernest Williamson (Jamie) and a host of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

While ushering on Sunday, August 22, 2021, she saw a familiar face heading out the doors at Howard Chapel. In accordance with the duties of God's Greeters, she inquired with this child of God, "where have you been?" This child of God replied to the tune of "Oh, I have just been on vacation from church". With the same conviction that she has served her family and friends, Yvonne replied, "where would you be if God decided to take a vacation on you?"

Yvonne loved the Lord and her family deeply, and never hesitated to show it.
